Nothing To Do With Comms (Thank Goodness)
The authority on mixternal comms
Life is good, isn’t it?
I mean, on the whole, all things considered, and relative to how most people around the world live and work … we’ve got it pretty good, right?
Just a reminder… a reminder that your bad day isn’t that bad and that this too shall pass.
As you read this I’m deep into a two-week trip across Japan with my wife on a delayed honeymoon.
No, dear, Reader. I didn’t send this note from Japan. When I go on vacation I completely disconnect from the digital world (and the news—am I missing anything? Prolly not…)
I set this up in advance to send while I was away.
Because I want to remind you to take time to care for yourself, your loved ones, your community.
It’s just a job, after all.
It’s just a job.
A job that doesn’t wholly define you.
You know me as a comms guy. But I also really, really love reading, collecting, and selling books. And gardening. And CrossFit. And pizza. God I love pizza. And both Top Gun movies. And the World Cup. And volunteering at the library. And long walks. And talking on the phone with my Mom. And classical music. And rain. And so much more.
And now you know a little more about me.
I know you also contain multitudes.
So, today, something completely different. A palette cleanser, if you will. And hopefully some inspiration from outside the world of comms.
I’ll see you again in October.
In the meantime… maybe log off a little early today and this week and live in the moment and be inspired and be grateful and tell someone you love them.
